| Format Description | The ESG & Sustainability Consulting Fellowship is an applied-learning program designed to give students hands-on experience working on real sustainability and ESG challenges faced by organizations. Delivered in partnership with the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership at The City College of New York (CUNY), this program complements the existing AccountAbility S-Lab Fellowship by introducing a real-world consulting component where students collaborate directly with organizations working on ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility initiatives. Through this experience, students work in small consulting teams to investigate and address ESG-related business challenges such as sustainability reporting, ESG data analysis, stakeholder engagement strategies, climate risk assessment, social impact measurement, or ESG strategy development. Industry partners serve as project sponsors, providing a real-world problem or initiative related to sustainability or corporate responsibility. Students then conduct research, analyze ESG frameworks and metrics, develop strategic insights, and present recommendations that can help organizations improve their ESG performance or sustainability strategy. Projects may focus on areas such as:
